‘Salacia’ is hand-crafted from milky smooth white clay, infused with gritty crushed sea shells. After a bisque firing, she is then hand-painted in a glossy clear glaze and fired again for water proofing and maximum durability.

Please note that each piece may vary in shape, size and color as they are made and glazed by hand. Glazes are expected to dull or slightly fade over time and with use, as is the nature of a handmade product.

Ceramics are durable if cared for correctly. We do not recommend using the dishwasher for these ceramic pieces. Ceramic can chip and break if dropped or knocked against a hard surface. Irregularities in size, brush strokes, glaze & texture, reflect the many human touches received during the making process and should be embraced. Not oven or microwave safe.
