You may not have heard of GC O'Connor before, but ask any working musician in Sydney and they know her name. A stalwart of the scene, multi-instrumentalist and composer O'Connor has been putting in the work for years, quietly dropping gems as she readies her debut EP, a self-described 'bedroom soundtrack'. Soul Lament is the kind of assured, accomplished record people delight in putting out into the world. It's representative of a fertile scene in Australian music that deserves celebrating.
Impressed, working with her label LowKey Source, has pressed 250 copies on heavyweight pink vinyl, with an individually-numbered obi strip.
Clay by LB has collaborated exclusively to press just 25 copies, also on pink heavyweight vinyl, with white labels and handwritten lyrics on the label from either GC O'Connor or Lilli Boisselet to celebrate Valentine's Day this year, and to create truly special experience when listening.
We hope these records will soundtrack moments together in the future and be treasured as one-off collectors pieces all at the same time.
